The expertise required to work these materials well is rare, and the companies that have it have never seen reason to look beyond the specification and hospitality sectors.
40FIVE was built on a different premise. That the same standards of material quality, fabrication precision, and considered design that define the highest levels of the industry can be made accessible; not by compromising on what the pieces are, but by rethinking how they reach the people who want them.

Our Foundation
40FIVE is a furniture and metal objects brand by Adam Steel, a Florida based metal design and fabrication company specializing in architectural metalwork and custom furniture. The 40FIVE collection was created to bring the same material knowledge, fabrication standards, and design approach into an accessible direct to consumer furniture line.
